We and the Community

The motto of AB “Klaipėdos baldai” is “For the City and for the World”. The Company exports all of its products and it is one of the major employers in Klaipėda City as well as an active participant in the City’s life.

The Company is a long-time sponsor of the Festival “Klaipėda Jazz”. The Company funded construction of a 550-metre long cycling and pedestrian path, which was joined to the overall cycling infrastructure network in Klaipėda. The Company funded building of a bench with artistic elements, which now serves as a decoration on M. Mažvydo Alley.

The Company and its employees have been supporting Children’s Guardianship House “Rytas” for many years, they have been active participants in the Campaign “Darom”, dune reinforcement campaigns.

Basketball and volleyball teams formed out of the Company’s employees participate in city competitions, and the Company itself is a member of Klaipėda Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, Klaipėda Industry Association, and Association Lithuanian Forest.

A major focus point of the Company is its employees, improvement of their qualifications, career opportunities, and securing their working conditions.

The Company runs talent and leadership development, internship, student practical training, employee adaptation, in-service training, and training programs.

The Company has a collective labour agreement concluded with its employees, which, among other things, establishes rewards for employees for their seniority, in the event of personal anniversaries, benefits for employees raising three or more children. Employees of “Klaipėdos baldai”, who study at higher education establishments, are granted paid study leaves, employees are granted extra paid leaves for getting married, funerals of people close to them, etc. In addition to this, employees are provided with partial subsidies for catering at the Company’s canteen.

AB “Klaipėdos baldai” has 3 trade unions and 12 percent of the employees are involved in their activities.
